My life has been full of many wonderful things as well as some very sad and terrible things.  I have an amazing husband, and beautiful children who all sometimes make me as crazy as I know I can make them… I consider myself extremely blessed and lucky to be me.

I started writing this blog when I was at my wits end with Fibromyalgia pain and the medications that I was on at the time.  I consider myself a normal person with common struggles but often feel alone in those struggles.  I’ve joined support groups but find them to be mostly negative venting boards for people who want to vent about their pain and reach out to others who understand what they are going through.  I get it but somehow it’s just not what I need… The thing is, I don’t really know all of what I need.

Here are some of the things I do know:

I wish to be understood
I want to be heard
I hope to inspire good things in others
I like respect, attention and feeling loved
I need purpose
I love to laugh

I am who I am because of my desire to go after the things I listed above.  I am who I am because of the people in my life.  I am strong.  I am the many things that have come together to bring me here today, writing this blog.

I am me.

  1. I’ve had this disease since 95. One day my back went out, and then after that it just kept building and building until the pain may be unable to do anything include work. I keep forgetting I can’t do the things I used to do, like framing a house rebuilding an engine planting a garden getting up in the morning. I like your outlook, keep posting stuff. You inspire me!

    1. I’m so sorry to hear that. We can only do our best… May our desire to live our lives to our fullest always outweigh the illness that drags us down. 💚
